Public Transit Guide

The YDNC State Convention will be held at the Sheraton Imperial at 4700 Emperor Blvd I-40, #282, Durham, NC 27703. Multiple options exist to arrive at the conference from the major cities in the Triangle and North Carolina.

Public Bus Transit

There are several public bus transit options to use throughout the Triangle. We have listed sample routes from some major points in the area. Additionally, all buses with the GO branding are free for everyone. If you have never used public transit or are unfamiliar with using the local systems, please visit either of these links: Ride Guide or How To Ride Video

From Raleigh

The GoTriangle #100 runs from Downtown Raleigh’s GoRaleigh Station. It makes multiple stops between the station and GoTriangle’s Regional Transit Center. On the weekends, it runs on a 30-minute frequency. For the shortest walk to the hotel (4 mins), get off the bus at this stop on Slater Rd. If you miss this stop, you can get off at the next stop, the end of the line at the Regional Transit Center (RTC). From there, it’s a 9-minute walk.

To arrive at the conference before opening sessions on Saturday or Sunday, please depart GoRaleigh Station (or other stops along the route) no later than 8:50 a.m.

From Durham

The GoTriangle #700 runs from Downtown Durham’s GoDurham Station. It makes multiple stops between the station and GoTriangle’s Regional Transit Center. On Saturday, it runs on a 30-minute frequency. On Sunday, it runs on an hourly frequency. For the shortest walk to the hotel, get off the bus at this stop on Slater Rd. If you miss this stop, you can get off at the next stop, the end of the line at the Regional Transit Center (RTC). From there, it’s a 9-minute walk. 

To arrive at the conference before opening sessions on Saturday or Sunday, please depart GoDurham Station (or other stops along the route) no later than 9:00 a.m.

From Chapel Hill

The GoTriangle #800 runs from the UNC Hospital Complex. It makes multiple stops between the station and GoTriangle’s Regional Transit Center. On Saturday, it runs on a 30-minute frequency. On Sunday, it runs on an hourly frequency. For the shortest walk (4 min) to the hotel, get off the bus at this stop on Slater Rd. If you miss this stop, you can get off at the next stop, the end of the line at the Regional Transit Center (RTC). From there, it’s a 9-minute walk. 

To arrive at the conference before opening sessions on Saturday or Sunday, please depart from the UNC Hospital Complex (or other stops along the route) no later than 8:50 a.m.

Amtrak

North Carolina offers multiple daily train trips between dozens of communities. To arrive from outside of the Triangle to the conference, you can take the train to either Downtown Durham or Raleigh and then connect with local bus service to reach your final destination.
